Professional Techniques for Video Game Writing

Wendy is the editor, and one of the contributors for one of the first books about how to write for videogames. It’s still getting significant sales and use. Several game development schools use it in their curriculum, and pros recommend it to anyone getting started.

The contributors are all from the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Game Writing Special Interest Group – and are professional game writers, so they are speaking from personal experience, not just research. It focuses on various aspects of working as a professional game writer, including how to break in to game writing, writing manuals, narrative design, writing in a team, working as a freelancer, working with new intellectual property, and more.
